Law Office Policy in the Age of Corona

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) IS REAL BUT LIFE CONTINUES: CONTACT ATTORNEY TARA BRESLOW-TESTA FROM THE SHELTER OF YOUR PLACE.

March 18, 2020 by the Law Office of Tara Breslow

The nationwide quarantine inspired by Coronavirus (COVID-19) is unprecedented in the experience of most New Jersey residents. Citizens of New Jersey have been encouraged to shelter in place, to stay home and avoid social contact to prevent transmitting and/or contracting the respiratory disease that is proving fatal.  Unfortunately, several of our residents both in Freehold, as well as Red Bank, have been affected by the virus.

As of March 19, New Jersey reported 742 positive COVID-19 tests in 19 out of 21 counties – with nine deaths. Traveling is discouraged state-wide or outright illegal in some parts of New Jersey and citizens are struggling to maintain some sense of normalcy and moving forward.

Unprecedented conditions can create unprecedented legal needs – from elder care to employment problems to being arrested for disobeying precautionary orders to shelter in place or domestic disputes.  Tara Breslow is available for consultation by way of computers or telephone – email, texting, facetime or electronic signatures. Tara Breslow is sheltering in her office in Monmouth County and is available to communicate with people, to ease their fears, to ease their problems during this unprecedented time.

Call (732) 784-2880 or email Tara at tarabreslowesq@gmail.com.

If you require a face to face meeting, that can be arranged – with precautions.

COVID 19 Prevention: The CDC and Social Distancing

The Centers for Disease Control have published a series of guidelines for understanding and avoiding COVID-19, and for seeking help if you think you have been infected  by the disease.

Some of these suggestions are below, but please consult the official CDC website page for more information: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html

Know How it Spreads

  • There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
  • The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.
  • The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
    • Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
    • Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
  • These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
